Wintertime

well it seems as though winter has finally come to Bolivia.  It was COLD today! and it was raining so the cold kinda seeps into your bones.  But it looks like it will be mid-twenties again by the end of the week.  

The other day Rose & I were shopping & we went into this store.  Talk about a specialty store.  Guess what it specialized in?   Socks.  The whole store was socks.  half a wall of men's socks, half a wall of women's socks, half wall for children's socks & half a wall for stockings etc.  I literally lol'd.  I'm not sure how the store stays in business for 10 months of the year but apparently they have a secret to marketing.  

In other news, I have another roommate.  One with only 2 legs, not 8 or more.  She is from a mennonite colony, but studying to be a teacher in Santa Cruz so she can go back to her colony & work.  She speaks low German, high German, Spanish & then English.  Not sure I'll see too much of her because she is working at La Bibliotecha during the day [on the other side of the home] & she is going to school in the evenings.
